Privacy, Confidentiality and Consent

Confidentiality means respecting someone’s privacy, and refraining from sharing personal, or potentially sensitive information about a client.

In Health and Social Care, Client Confidentiality is an important principle in AH Home Care Limited’s delivery of good care. It means not disclosing information unless consent has been provided, about a client, staff member to anyone else that does not need to know.

It is vital to protect the company’s data, as it is the rights of all individual’s concerned, and sharing of information with other professionals will only be done when required as a “Duty of Careto ensure the well-being of that individual, as stated in the Care Act 2014, and Data Protection Act 1998.

The Health and Social Care Act 2008 states 5 points:

  1. All confidential information about a client should be treated respectfully, and their rights to confidentiality respected at all times.
  2. Confidential information about a client should be shared by a Care Team only when it is essential for the safety and well-being of the client.
  3. Any confidential information shared for the benefit of a community should remain anonymous.
  4. A client has the right to object to their confidential information being shared. This right must be respected.
  5. It is an organisation’s responsibility to implement confidentiality policies and procedures to ensure this is adhered to.

We are AH Home Care Ltd, a UK based company offering care services.

What information we store:

We store user input data sent through the contact / enquiry form on this website, along with meta information about the submissions, including the time stamp, the origin IP address, and the user agent (browser).

We currently use Google Analytics on this website.

Where your information goes:

The information collected by the contact / enquiry form is sent as an email message to
info@ah-care.co.uk. Contact / enquiry form submission data is also stored in the website’s database.

How long we keep the information:

We don’t set a particular time limit on storing information because we may need it for future reference. If you would like your information to be removed from our email archive and website database, please contact us. We will remove it anytime there are concerns about your privacy.

Who information is shared with:

The information you input on our site is never shared with any third parties.
